Over the course of the last six months, we have received an incredible amount of feedback from our token holders, the DataBrokerDAO alliance members and a wide variety of potential buyers and sellers of data on the platform.

All these discussions have helped us to finetune the requirements of the first production release. One of the significant challenges that came up was how to assure the quality of the data being sold and purchased. An item on our roadmap that had to be moved up.

So we took this opportunity to re-engineer the platform from the ground up. We implemented a “token curated registry” with DTX token staking, and a brand new dapp focussing on the discovery of interesting data sets, allowing potential buyers to search easily and find the data they need.

Over the next few days, we will publish several articles going deeper into the technology and philosophy behind DataBrokerDAOs token curated registry, and the design methodology of the frontend UI.

In the meantime, why don’t you take it for a spin at https://dapp.databrokerdao.com?

This release (aptly named the “Discovery Release”) features a range of actual sensors in and around Belgium, the interface to search and browse for sensor data all built on the token curated registry.

Over the next few weeks, we will be updating the dapp and backend systems often to include purchasing data streams and adding sensors.
